The Hampstead Players aim to kindle an enthusiasm and love for theatre by presenting shows in which the audience can participate. Their unique approach uses mainly classical or historical plays, which educate while entertaining and uses audience participation to eliminate the distance between actor and audience. By being part of the performance the children become more involved, more attentive and enjoy themselves while absorbing educational subjects.

Each season, the Hampstead Players tour several productions. Past performances have included adaptations of works by Charles Dickens and William Shakespeare, Greek mythology, Native American tales, and other legends and adventures. Please inquire about upcoming performances.

Each show is performed by two actors, each playing several roles and each includes some children from the audience. The sets, costumes and props are realistic and based on historic research.
